Process

Four steps.
Same process every time.

We use the same structured workflow on every project. It means you know what to expect, and we know nothing slips between the steps.

01

Brief and discovery

Every project starts with a brief intake process. For smaller Spark packages, this is a written form covering your brand, your audience, the content type, the tone, and any examples of copy you think is doing a good job in your market. For Craft and Momentum packages, we supplement this with a 30-minute call if the brief raises open questions. The brief stage is the most important part of the project. Copy that misses the audience misses on every other metric too. We read the brief carefully and ask specific follow-up questions before starting if anything is unclear.

02

Research and planning

Before writing, we review your existing content to understand what is already there and what tone has been established. For blog and SEO work, we research the topic area, review what is ranking, and identify what gaps exist that a thoughtful piece could fill. For product and e-commerce work, we research how similar products are positioned and what buyer questions are most commonly asked. For social and newsletter content, we review your existing posts and subscriber data to understand what has performed and why. Planning does not mean a long document -- it means a clear direction before the first word is written.

03

Write and refine

The first draft is written by a single person who has read the brief and done the research. Not assembled from prompts, not pieced together from multiple sources -- written, once, by someone with the full context. First drafts are delivered in a shared Google Document within the delivery window for your package. You review and leave comments in the document. We address each comment specifically and update the draft. Revision rounds are iterative: each round narrows the gap between the draft and what you need. The Spark package includes two revision rounds. Craft and Momentum include unlimited revisions.

04

Deliver and track

Final content is delivered clean and formatted for its purpose. Blog posts arrive ready for your CMS. Product descriptions arrive in a structured spreadsheet if you need that format. Newsletter issues arrive formatted and ready to load. We deliver in Google Docs by default and adapt to Word, HTML, plain text, or any other format on request. For Momentum clients, we also track publishing and flag performance data at your monthly review call. For all clients, the post-delivery revision window stays open for 14 days on Spark, and unlimited on Craft and Momentum.
