Most client work is confidential. The two case studies below were approved for publication. The numbers are real.
The Canopy Home
The Canopy Home had a strong product range and steady ad spend but almost no organic search presence. Their previous blog had eight posts, two of which were published in the same week three years earlier, and had never been updated. Leadership wanted to invest in content but had no internal writer and no bandwidth to manage a freelancer.
We developed a 6-month editorial calendar built around buyer intent keywords their paid ad data already told them converted well. Every piece was written to match their visual brand -- warm, considered, not trying to sell anything until the reader was ready. Publishing on schedule, every week, with no exceptions.
By month six, organic traffic was up 180% from baseline. Twelve of the posts ranked page one for their target keyword. The editorial calendar has now been running for 22 months without a missed week.
Clearscope Analytics
Clearscope Analytics was sending a sporadic product update email to a list that had stagnated around 2,400 subscribers. Open rates were 14%. The content was written by their product team, who found it a chore, and it showed. Readers were not sharing it, not replying to it, and certainly not forwarding it.
We repositioned the newsletter from a product update to an industry insight piece -- practical, opinionated content about analytics trends and strategy that happened to feature Clearscope tools where relevant. Bi-weekly cadence, consistent format, and a genuine editorial voice that felt different from everything else in their subscribers' inboxes.
Subscriber count grew from 2,400 to 12,000 in 14 months. Open rate moved from 14% to 44%. Three enterprise clients attributed their first contact with Clearscope to the newsletter specifically.
